Bebington is a Town in Merseyside , England . It lies on the Wirral bank of the River Mersey . The town includes the area of Port Sunlight , an early planned factory town. The Oval Sports Centre was used in the film, '' Chariots Of Fire '', to portray the 1924 Colombes Olympic Stadium in Paris Bebington Athletic has three teams: West Cheshire Div. 3 South Wirral AFL Wirral Sunday Div. 1 The teams play at Leverhulme 4 and the Oval on Saturdays and Sundays. Our sponsors are: Complete Bathrooms (Bebington) The Railway Inn (Port Sunlight) The Managers of the Club are Matt Wilson, Richard Steele and Chris Sladen while the secretary is David Favager.
