Ballater

Ballater is a Burgh in Aberdeenshire , Scotland on the River Dee , (see Royal Deeside }, just east of the Cairngorm Mountains . It is a centre for Hikers and is known for its Spring Water , once said to cure Scrofula . The Victoria Barracks is used by the Royal Guard for nearby Balmoral Castle .
