He attended the Academy of Economics and Commerce in Istanbul (later became Marmara University ) from 1956 to 1960 , and afterwards developed the Dogan Group , which holds more than 50 affiliates. His company owns the biggest oil/gas company in Turkey, Petrol Ofisi . Add to that, Dogan Holding has a great power on Turkish media. In the media sector, Aydin Dogan owns Kanal D (Channel D), Star TV (which company spent 306 million dollars to buy) and newspapers such as Hürriyet and Milliyet . |
