Augustinos was the younger brother of Ioannis Kapodistrias , first Governor of Greece. After the latter's assassination on October 9 , 1831 , Augustinos inherited his brother's seat in the governing council, and the office of the Governor. His 6-month rule was marked by political instability and the country's slide to anarchy. |
