It works in partnership with the Office Of The Deputy Prime Minister , the Department Of Health and the National Assembly For Wales . CHIEF EXECUTIVE The Chief Executive of the Audit Commission is responsible for the day-to-say running of the Commission. The current Chief Executive is Steve Bundred , who has held the position since 1 September 2003 . MANAGING DIRECTORS The Audit Commission has four managing directors who are responsible for the operation of the various sections of the Commission. They are:
