Aston is an area of Birmingham , England , in the north-east of the City Centre . It is also a Ward within the Formal District of Ladywood . Aston was originally a town and borough in its own right, being created the Urban District of '''Aston Manor''' in 1894, promoted to being a Municipal Borough in 1903, before being annexed to Birmingham in 1911.
