The Association of Caribbean States ('''ACS''') (Also called the ''Asociacion de Estados del Caribe'' or ''Association des Etats de la Caraibe'') was formed with the aim of promoting consultation, cooperation, and concerted action among all the countries of the Caribbean , comprising of 25 member states and 3 associate members. The Convention Establishing the ACS was signed on July 24 1994 in Cartagena De Indias , Colombia. The secretariat of the organization is located in Port Of Spain , Trinidad And Tobago . In December of 2004 during the 10th Ordinary Meeting of the Ministerial Council, the Turks and Caicos Islands formally sought to become a new associate member to the (ACS) article .
