During the victorious Battle Of Oliwa against the Swedish fleet ( 28 November 1627) he commanded the Polish Navy in the Galleon ''Sankt Georg''. The Poles captured the Swedish galleon ''Tigern'' and made another, ''Solen'', to be scuttled by her crew, but Admiral Dickmann was killed onboard of ''Tigern'', being shot by an artillery Bullet to his legs. He got a state burial in Gdansk. |
