Annenberg School For Communication




The Annenberg Schools for Communication are institutions founded for the promotion of Communication and Journalism scholarship at the University Of Pennsylvania , Philadelphia, PA and the University Of Southern California , Los Angeles, CA . The schools were established in 1959 at Penn and in 1971 at USC through grants from Walter H. Annenberg , alumnus of Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Philanthropist and former United States Ambassador to Britain

The current dean of the Annenberg School at University of Pennsylvania is Michael X. Delli Carpini . Former deans include George Gerbner and Kathleen Hall Jamieson . Dr. Jamieson was often quoted during the 2004 US Presidential Election due to her involvement with FactCheck.org , a Nonprofit organization devoted to monitoring the accuracy of campaign ads.

The current dean of USC Annenberg School For Communication is Geoffrey Cowan .
