Anneliese Louise van der Pol (born September 23 1984 in Amsterdam , Noord-Holland , Netherlands ) is an American Actress who retains dual ( Dutch / American ) citizenship. She is most famous for her role as Chelsea Daniels in the Disney Channel original comedy series, '' That's So Raven ''. BIOGRAPHY Anneliese van der Pol stars as Chelsea Daniels, Raven's best friend, whose loyalty as Raven's sidekick often draws her into humorous escapades in the Disney Channel original comedy series, ''That's So Raven''. Anneliese (pronounced AH nah LEE zah) was born September 23, 1984 in the Netherlands. She immigrated to the United States in 1987 and retains dual Dutch/American citizenship. Her debut performance as soloist "Lana the Ladybug" in her third-grade fun musical established Anneliese's love for the stage. Anneliese went on to graduate from the Musical Theater Program of The Orange County High School Of The Arts , where her talent was well respected among instructors and students. Highlights of her high school experience include winning the title of "Funniest Girl" as well as a one-day suspension incurred for a dress code violation. For her critically acclaimed performance as Eva Peron in the Buena Park Civic Theatre production of "Evita" in 1999, Anneliese won rave reviews from the Los Angeles Times. She also earned a place in history as the youngest actress (at age 15) to play the role in a professional production. In 2002 , Anneliese starred as Laurey in Austin Musical Theater's production of '' Oklahoma ''. Her performance in this celebrated show earned her B. Iden Payne and the Austin Critics Table award nominations for "Best Actress in a Musical." Anneliese is also an accomplished dancer, having danced the role of Clara in '' The Nutcracker '' and the title role of "Copelia" for the Southern California Dance Theater. In 2004 , she recorded "Over It" for the Disney Channel Original Movie '' Stuck In The Suburbs '' and is looking forward to more vocal projects. Anneliese is a constant student of dance and voice who takes weekly acting classes from Andrew Magarian at The Shop in North Hollywood . While continuing to take great pleasure in playing the sweetly goofy Chelsea Daniels, Anneliese looks forward to undertaking dramatic roles. RESUME MUSIC Anneliese has a vocal range of three and a half octaves. She is a and Cher . Anneliese was also working with award-winning songwriters Allan Rich and Jud Friedman. The current status of her demo CD is unknown. Her second solo recording is called "A Day in the Sun" for the new That's So Raven soundtrack called, "That's So Raven Too!"
