Andreas Dittmer (born 16 April 1972 in Neustrelitz ) is an athlete from Germany who competes in Flatwater Canoeing . He has won three Olympic and eight world championship gold medals. Dittmer won his first Olympic gold at the 1996 Olympics in the C-2 1000m. After Atlanta, he concentrated on the individual event and won his first C-1 world title in 1997. At Sydney 2000 he won the C-1 1000m gold but had to settle for the bronze in the 500m race. At the . In the 1000 metre, Dittmer again won his initial heat to advance to the finals. This time, however, Cal finished .52 seconds ahead of Dittmer's 3:46.721, leaving Dittmer with a silver medal. Dittmer's sister, Anja Dittmer , also competed at the 2004 Olympics.
