American Council On Alcohol Problems




The Council was known as the Anti-Saloon League from 1893 until 1948 (when it was a leading advocate of Prohibition , as the Temperance League until 1950, the national Temperance League until 1964, and now as the American Council on Alcohol Problems. It partners with George Hacker ’s Alcohol Policies Project at the Center For Science In The Public Interest and other Temperance -oriented groups.
