Hon Allan Robert Bell MHK is currently the Treasury Minister of the Isle Of Man Government and Member Of The House Of Keys for Ramsey . He was born in 1947 and educated at Ramsey Grammar School. He was then a retailer before standing unsuccessfully for Ramsey in 1976 for Mec Vannin . He was later elected as a independent Ramsey MHK in the 1984 by election. He has had a long and varied political carrer, which has involved various scandles, especially the ''Mount Murray Affair''. Despite this he is considered the favourite to become Chief Minister following the November 2006 elections, having held the two most senior portfolios, Treasury Minister and Home Affairs Minister.
