Otter Falls, along the Aishihik River, were pictured on the reverse of the 1954 series of Canadian Five-dollar Bill s. Flows on the northern portion of the river, including Otter Falls, are considerably reduced because of a Hydroelectric dam and station onwed by the Yukon Energy Corporation . The Aishihik Road mainly follows the river. The river crosses the Alaska Highway at the small community of Canyon Creek, Yukon , where there is one of the original Alaska Highway wooden bridges. |
