G1-2-3 Against the Giants is an Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (1st edition) Module by TSR in 1981 .

It reprinted compilation of three related modules, each focused on a different type of giant:

  • G1 Steading of the Hill Giant Chief

  • G2 The Glacial Rift of the Frost Giant Jarl

  • G3 Hall of the Fire Giant King


These were the first modules printed by TSR in 1978 and at 16 pages some of the shortest. So the combined module G1-2-3 at 48 pages with a double cardboard cover is equivalent in size with many of the other modules published in the early 1980's.

The series's classic introduction is:


A decade ago, the land of Geoff was overrun by a horde of giants, ogres, and evil humanoids, its people either slain, enslaved, or driven into exile. Now at last the tide has turned. The time to free the people of Geoff from their servitude to the giantish tyrants has come! But don't forget to watch your step when you confront the true masters behind the giant clans!


Although the G series is a complete adventure, they can continue on from the A Series and the series continued with the D Series modules.

The module G1-2-3 was revised and reprinted in the 128 page supermodule GDQ1-7 Queen Of The Spiders in 1986 along with the D and Q series modules.

G1-2-3 was reprinted again in 1999 along with addition material in the 96 page Against the Giants: The Liberation of Geoff

Giants was the first adventure, and the first D&D product in general, to feature the Drow , or dark elves, who are portrayed as the true masterminds behind the Giant raids on human lands.
