''Note: This article is about the comic book. For the television series, see The Adventures Of Superman ''. ''Adventures of Superman'', sometimes '''''The Adventures of Superman''''', was a Comic Book series produced by DC Comics starring, as the title suggests, Superman . This followed a 3-month Hiatus of both '' Superman '' and '' Action Comics '' while the '' Man Of Steel '' Limited Series was being published. The initial team working on the renamed title was Marv Wolfman (writer) and Jerry Ordway (art). The plots of the Superman books became more and more linked over the next few years. ''Adventures of Superman'', after issue #649 (dated April 2006) reverted back to being titled ''Superman'' beginning with #650 (May 2006). The ''Superman'' title, launched in 1986 as explained above, was cancelled after #226 (April 2006). The end effect is that the first volume of Superman has returned, continuing its original numbering. AWARDS Issues 501 through 503 of the series were a part of the story '' The Reign Of The Supermen '' which won the Comics Buyer's Guide Fan Award for Favorite Comic Book Story for 1993. |
