HISTORY

Local History on Adonara traces its roots to a State that was founded about 1650 on the island. Some Post-independence local officials trace their roots to past rulers, called '' Raja '', of Adonara, who include:

Bapa Ama ( Regent with the title of Kapitan 1930 -1/12/ 1935 , condemned to Life Imprisonment before 24 April 1936 and sent to Kupang . Son of a sister of Kamba Begu )

Bapa Nuhu r, Regent 1936 /41-1940s during the Minorship of Raja Nuhung Bapa
