Ace Lightning has a triple bill of video games for PlayStation 2 , PC and Game Boy Advance . It follows the story of the television series, where Ace Lightning ventures into the Carnival of Doom to find the pieces of the Amulet of Zoar and then capture his arch nemesis, Lord fear. PC VERSION The PC version is a 3D game. In it, Ace must enter the various attractions of the Carnival of Doom, and find the piece of the Amulet of Zoar hidden in each section of the attraction before he can enter lair of the boss villain, and ultimately the haunted house for the final battle with Lord Fear himself. In each section, Ace must find the required number of Doom Dimes to allow him to access the amulet piece and bypass other obstacles, and there are power ups to be found like the Shield of Justice which makes Ace invincible, and special boots that let him perform a double jump manuever. Each attraction caps off with a battle between Ace and one of the show's villains. The levels in the game are:
The various attractions and their zone bosses are the Circus (Googler), House of Illusion (Lady Illusion), Ghost Town (Dirty Rat), Castle (Random Virus), and the Haunted House (Lord Fear, Pigface, Anvil and the return of Lady Illsuion). PLAYSTATION 2 VERSION For the Playstation 2, the game is the same as the computer, except the graphics are more improved, some things have changed in the levels, and there are two new levels added as well. These new levels are:
GAMEBOY VERSION The Gameboy version of Ace Lightning is much different. It is 2D and as Ace you must venture into 12 different attractions and locate the Amulet fragment within. At the end of each level is a foe waiting for Ace. Also, villains can attack Ace while he's heading for a new attraction and fight him in a quick boss fight. There are two bonus games, a shooting gallery, and a test-your-strength machine where you must try and hit the bell on the machine (if you lose, Ace gets hit by the hammer and falls unconsious). The levels in the game are:
STORY FOR PLAYSTATION 2/PC The , Sparx and Random Virus . Lord Fear , their most feared enemy, has escaped from his prison and is now on the run. Lord Fear wishes to conquer the universe using the Amulet Of Zoar , but after a fierce battle with the Lightning Knights, the Amulet is shattered to pieces. Ace and Lord Fear each separately find a single piece of the Amulet each. Incomplete, the Amulet is useless to Lord Fear, but in his fury, he hatches a vile plan. He predicts Ace will come to the Carnival Of Doom , looking for the fragments of the Amulet that are scattered throughout its dark corners. In his quest, Ace will be weakened until he is destroyed and Lord Fear will reign supreme! Cutting to the events of the game itself, Ace flies across the plains of the Sixth Dimension and spies a dingy Amusement Park below. He lands outside the carnival, believing it is the Carnival of Doom, owned by Lord Fear . He immediately discovers a piece of the Amulet, which gives him access to the carnival's circus tent. Inside the circus, Lord Fear hears of Ace's arrival and summons Googler to deal with Ace. Ace fights Googler and defeats him in an explosive battle involving a room full on explosive gun power barrels. Ace then goes on to battle Lady Illusion in the House of Illusion, be pestered by Dirty Rat in the Cowboy Crossroads and save Random Virus in the Climbcrag Castle. Ace then goes head to head against Lord Fear, Lady Illusion, Anvil and Pigface. After they are defeated, Ace restores the Amulet and uses its power to send Lord Fear and his gang back to prison in the Sixth Dimension. EXTERNAL LINKS
