Information About

Academy Award For Best Foreign Language Film

Each year in each country a jury in that country can select the best non-English film of that country. These form the so-called longlist. Five of these are nominated; thus these are all from different countries. One of them wins. Below, the winning film is bolded, and the four non-winning nominated films are also listed.

The 78th Academy Awards , in general honoring the best in film for 2005, but in this category regarding release in the country of origin in the period October 2004 - September 2005, were held on 5 March 2006. Below they are labeled "2005".
