The station is known as 5th Street on the Market-Frankford Line . Interestingly, it is the only station on the line within the Center City Philadelphia limits where riders must exit the station and cross the street if they wish to travel in the opposite direction; no underground cross-walk is provided. Riders departing at 5th Street have easy access to such Philadelphia landmarks as the Liberty Bell , Independence Hall , the National Constitution Center , the Bourse, Philadelphia's Federal Courthouse, and the studios of KYW-AM radio and KYW-TV . |
