The 4th New York Regiment was raised on May 25 , 1775 at Albany, New York for service with the Continental Army . The regiment would see action in the New York Campaign , Battle Of Saratoga , Battle Of Monmouth and the Sullivan Expedition . The regiment would be mereged into the 2nd NY on January 1 , 1781 and furloughed June 2 1783 at Newburgh, New York and disbanded November 15 , 1783. |
