''21st Century Compilers'' was the rumored title for the revision of the famous computer science book '''', by Alfred V. Aho , Ravi Sethi , and Jeffrey D. Ullman , commonly known as the '' Dragon Book '' because the cover of each edition has featured a dragon and a knight. The new book will instead have the same name as the previous edition, with the addition of Monica S. Lam of Stanford University as a co-author. It is due out in 2007, although this may be as much of a rumor as the title ''21st Century Compilers''. The book includes several additional topics that are not covered in the current edition. The first incarnation of the book had a green dragon on the cover. The second had a red dragon. The new edition's cover is being designed by Palo Alto-based CGI studio Strange Tonic Productions , and it will feature a purple dragon. EXTERNAL LINKS |
