the congress was comnvoked by the initiative of the , Yekaterinoslav and Kiev groups of the "Union of the Struggle", The Bund , and the group around the '' Workers' Newspaper ''. There were 6 sessions, with no minutes written down because of secrecy, only resulutions were recorded. The major issue was the creation of the Party as the union of all represented groups. Its name (RSDLP) was decided at this Congress. The Congress aslo elected the (St.Petersburg "Union of the Struggle"), Boris Eidelman ("Workers' Newspaper") and A. Kremer ( A. Cramer , "The Bund"). The Central Committee printed the Manifesto of the RSDLP and the resolutions of the Congress.
