Information About

1st C.i.b. Group

For years Christchurch has had many bushballers (Bushball, also known as Woodsball ) come and go, as have there been clubs and paintball fields. However, over time, a core group of ballers found it necessary to come up with thier own name, logo and code of practice to segregate themselves from the typical 1-off paintball customers.

1-off paintball customers, sometimes called "Punters" are people who come to play paintball in the bush, who do not own thier own gear and do not play regularly. A member of the 1ST CIB Group will typically...

  • Wear Camouflage or Olive Drab

  • Utilise a tactical vest, or military load bearing system

  • Camouflage thier paintball gun, gear etc

  • Shoot a high-range gun such as a Tippmann flatline or BT Apex

  • Attend big games and scenarios

These are the core foundations of the 1st C.I.B. Group's voluntary code of practice. It's voluntary because enforcing them at a hard line would be detrimental to the organisation's basic structure, which is centered around the game of bushball.

The emblem of the 1st C.I.B. Group is a skull, wearing a beret with lightning bolts, on an olive drab circular patch, decorated with two Tippmann A-5 cyclones. The emblem is typically worn on the right shoulder, but can in fact be worn anywhere the wearer chooses.
