September

On September 24, 1992 Kentucky becomes the fifth state to hold that laws criminalizing same-sex sodomy are unconstitutional when the Kentucky Supreme Court issues its holding in Kentucky V. Wasson . The decision, based on the rights of privacy and equal protection under the Kentucky Constitution , explicitly and boldly yet accurately predicts that other jurisdictions and the nation as a whole will eventually reach the same conclusion.
