: "The Southern Gentleman" would return to No. 1 in June with "That's Why I Love You Like I Do" (a retitled remake of his 1957 hit, "You're the Reason I'm In Love," which by the way was the lesser-known flip side of "Young Love"). "That's Why I Love You ..." (complete with a horn chorus) was James' last major hit for Capitol Records . During 1972, he inked a deal with Columbia Records, where he would continue to chart top 10 hits through 1977; included were two No. 1 hits, one of which was 1972's "When the Snow is on the Roses."
