TRIVIA

  • This World Series was the first since 1948 that no Series games were played in New York City .

  • After this Series, the White Sox didn't play in another until finally breaking their Black Sox curse by winning in 2005 .

  • Ted Kluszewski played for the losing "Pale Hose", but still managed to drive in a World Series record ten (10) runs and became the first player to have double-digit RBI totals for any length Series.
