The course measured only 4,423 yards, and Jim Foulis , a Scottish professional represented the Chicago Golf Club , won with 78-74=152. The 74 set a record that was not broken until 1903 , after the rubber-core ball had come into use. Horace Rawlins was runner-up, three strokes back. |
