''Goodies'' is the debut album by American Pop and R&B singer Ciara , released in the United States on September 28 , 2004 (see 2004 In Music ) on La Face Records . The album was primarily produced by Jazze Pha , with additional production from Lil' Jon and R. Kelly . It peaked at number three on the U.S. Billboard 200 charts and has sold over 2,769,750 Copies.

It produced four singles: " Goodies ", " 1, 2 Step ", " Oh ", and " And I ". "Oh" describes Ciara's hometown of Atlanta, Georgia with the "southern cooking" and how the girls "got the fellas looking". The titular "one, two step" dance of the song "1, 2 Step" is similar to the traditional Grapevine . "And I", a soul ballad, did poorly in comparison with first three singles from the album. The song barely charted on the Billboard Hot 100. It reached the top thirty on the Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Charts . Ciara wrote "And I" when she was fifteen years old after separating from her ex-boyfriend. Also this Video included Denver Nugget's Star basketball player Carmelo Anthony.
